Eligible members of the NT Concession Scheme can access a concession on spectacles every two years. Concessions can be provided directly by an approved optometrist when a member purchases their glasses.

Spectacle concessions can be used for either:

  • one pair of prescription reading glasses and one pair of distance glasses
  • or one pair of bifocal, multifocal or progressive glasses.

Concessions are also available to dependent children under 16 years who live with a member of the scheme.

The concession may cover some repairs plus other costs.
